Canadian Designated Learning Institution (DLI)

Sprott Shaw Language College (SSLC) is a recognized Designated Learning Institution (DLI) by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). To apply for a study permit in Canada, you’ll need to include our Designated Learning Institution number (DLI #), which starts with the letter “O,” on your study permit application.

Here are our DLI numbers for each location:

Vancouver & Victoria Campuses (British Columbia, BC): O19283917732

Toronto Campus (Ontario, ON): O19395083755

For more information about DLIs, visit the official Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada website↗.

Provincial attestation letter or territorial attestation letter

Planning to study at SSLC as an international student? We’re here to help guide you through the process! Before you can begin your studies, you’ll need to provide proof of acceptance from SSLC as part of your application. If you are not a Canadian citizen or permanent resident and plan to study in Canada for more than six months, there are two essential documents you’ll need to obtain:

A valid study permit – This is required for most international students studying in Canada and allows you to stay in the country while you complete your program.

A Provincial Attestation Letter (PAL) – This official document, which SSLC will provide, confirms your enrollment in a program approved by your province of study.

These documents are essential to meet Canada’s study permit requirements. For detailed information on how to obtain a Provincial Attestation Letter (PAL), visit the official Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) website here↗.

We recommend reviewing these requirements carefully to ensure a smooth and successful application process.
