At SSLC, we proudly introduce the GROW program, an innovative ESL initiative that goes beyond traditional language learning. GROW stands out by weaving essential 21st Century Skills—communication, creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration—into the fabric of our curriculum, ensuring our students are not just proficient in English but are also well-prepared for the challenges of the modern world.

The GROW program is designed as a comprehensive learning experience where these four critical skills are not just taught but are seamlessly integrated into daily learning activities. Our goal is to prepare students for a future where these competencies are pivotal to personal, academic, and professional success. GROW makes students fluent in English and adept at applying these skills in real-world situations.

SSLC launches Pearson StartUp’s eight-level English series to boost confidence Starting April 22nd.

Our General ESL classes, part of the GROW initiative and utilizing Pearson’s StartUp series, extend over 8-10 weeks per level, promoting a deep understanding and mastery of the language. GROW goes beyond teaching basic language skills by emphasizing their practical application in real-life scenarios, thereby enhancing students’ critical thinking and collaboration.

Additionally, the GROW program provides students with access to the Pearson Practice English App (PPE), enabling them to continue their language studies independently, anytime and anywhere. The PPE app is accessible on both iPhone and Android devices.

In the specialized afternoon Mastery of Skills classes, attention is given to refining specific areas such as Communication, Grammar, Writing, and Listening, thus offering a well-rounded approach to language acquisition and application.
