Mount Douglas is the ideal spot for a 360-degree view including downtown Victoria, the Olympic Mountains, the Strait of Juan de Fuca, the Gulf Islands, the coastal ranges and, on the right day, the beautiful volcanic mountain, Mt Baker.

Spectacular views can also be had on a walk along Dallas Road or out on Ogden Point Breakwater.

Beacon Hill Park is blooming at this time of year. Enjoy a stroll amongst giant trees and blossoming gardens. Pay a visit to the petting zoo. Admire the many wandering peacocks. Take a short walk up to the Lookout for another spectacular view of the waters of the Strait and the Olympic Mountains.

The Inner Harbour is an energetic place to go for a more stimulating urban stroll. Here you will find boats, buskers, craftspeople and some intriguing venues for indoor adventure. The stately BC Legislature, the regal Empress Hotel and the elegant Robert Bateman Centre were all designed by Sir Francis Rattenbury. All are located around the Inner Harbour and each provides its own unique indoor experience. The highly regarded Royal BC Museum, which includes a magnificent First Nations exhibit is also located on the Inner Harbour.

If you enjoy shopping, Government Street is the place for you. With its boutiques, live music, and great pubs and restaurants, its quiet traffic-restricted ambiance is ideal for an afternoon or evening stroll.
