Winter is a special time in Toronto because the locals go nuts for outdoor activities and the holidays! We see Christmas markets start to pop up all over the city, and the newly decorated trees are unveiled in the Distillery District and at the Eaton Centre. Once the rinks have frozen, folks can be seen ice skating and playing hockey at City Hall and Harbourfront. The traditional window displays at the Hudson’s Bay are truly a sight to see, and our annual Santa Claus parade draws people of all ages out to see the man in the jolly red suit.
The diversity of activities and Holidays to be celebrated makes December especially fun. We have so many cultures celebrating and coming together to enjoy time with family and friends. SSLC Toronto Campus will be throwing a Christmas party for students on the 21st – there will be eggnog and apple cider sampling, gingerbread house decorating, and we may even get a visit from Santa himself!
